Decent tool, some setup quirks
I signed up for the Pro Plan for Hiver about a month ago, specifically for the Hiver in Gmail and Live Chat features. The ordering process was pretty straightforward online, just picked the plan and added my details. It took about two business days to get full access and all the features activated, which felt a little slow compared to some other SaaS tools I've used. The Hiver in Gmail integration works really well, it genuinely streamlines our email management. The Live Chat, however, needed a fair bit of configuration to get it looking and feeling right on our site; the documentation was okay but I had to reach out to support once. They responded within a few hours and helped resolve my specific CSS issue, so that was good. Overall, the quality of the core features is solid, but expect a bit of a learning curve for the more advanced setups.
Useful, but could be faster
I went with the Growth Plan for Hiver to try out their AI Copilot and the Multi-channel Support. The setup for the basic email channels was easy enough, and getting the AI Copilot to understand our common queries took a little fine-tuning, but it's starting to save us time. My main gripe was with how long it took to get a response from customer service when I had a more technical question about integrating a less common social channel; it took almost a day to hear back. Once they did, the help was good, but that wait was a bit frustrating. Value-wise, it's pretty good for what we pay, especially with the AI features starting to pull their weight.
Good for our small team
We got the Starter Plan mostly for the Ticketing System and it's been pretty easy to use. My team picked it up fast. It just made dealing with customer emails much less messy for us, so that's a win. Got it all set up quickly, no dramas.
